“Our host was exceptional. We asked her to book us a taxi to the train but as early in a Sunday morning no cars available (small town). She organised for her friend to drop us off. She also gave us a slice of her delicious home made apple tart. No charge. Genuine and generous hospitality. Decor is characterful. Eclectic and quirky with some extraordinary old objects. Our room at top of the house had a subtle little red riding hood theme ☺️ Central but not busy part of town. We hung out at hotel cafe a while. Wonderful local people going about their evening. Wish we had eaten there but didn't realise they did dinner. Apple tart we were given was so good!”
