“Due to the time of year and it being the middle of the week, it turns out I was the only resident for that night! I was treated extremely well, and with a lovely (massive room), and a very comfortable bed for the night. The room lacked a shower, but had a large bath with shower attachment. The food was absolutely outstanding. Proper homemade pub grub; best steak and ale pie I've had in ages, with proper chips, polished off with apple crumble and ice cream. Breakfast was delicious too, although I had to eat less as I was still full from the night before! The owners were brilliant, and would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.”

“A lovely hotel, a real hidden gem. The rooms are exquisite and very tastefully period decorated. The cast iron bath was huge and a real treat.Meals are of a superb quality and very generous portions. The cooked breakfast was gorgeous.As a bonus, the hotel has a micro brewery onsite, I can recommend the real ale Blackbeck Belle.”
