“We could not find a taxi at around Four In the afternoon from the center of town in order to get to the Chateau. We called, my daughter walked to the railway station(RER), and spent an hour trying to get a taxi, no luck. I waited in the center trying flag a taxi down, no luck, my daughter walked back(1.3 miles each). We called the chateau and they said they would try to call a taxi, nothing happened and we flagged a bus which took us half a mile away from the chateau and we walked the rest of the way. The total trip from the center of town which was about 2 miles from the chateau which took us almost 2 1\2 hours. So as to say, public transportation is not the best way to get there or help from the chateau. The taxi the next day seemed to take us a long way around and wanted to charge 30 euros and when he could not make change, he agreed to 20 euros. Otherwise it is a very breathtaking place. Dinner was very elegant”
“We arrived and they hadn't read the note on my booking about a bed for my Daughter, so didn't want to let her stay. We persuaded them to let her sleep in our bed so we could utilise the booking at all. Front desk was super grumpy and didn't want to know. There was no dinner option available. The breakfast was the worst I've had, we were in a very grand room, there was no service at all, it was a bad selection of food, the coffee was awful and we left having eaten nothing and wouldn't go back. It's a grant setting and building, but totally falling to bits and not worth the effort”
