“Lovely old fashioned typically French hotel. The restaurant was very good, places like this are increasingly difficult to find but we love them.”
“Travelling through to the south we stopped and chose this hotel. What a lucky choice! Hotel is managed by very nice older couple.They let is choose rooms. Maybe it would be better if the daughters could have the room at the same story? We appreciated their thoughtfulness very much. And yes the girls liked their room with the four poster bed a lot. Very cosy and cute. Mme is scottish and decoratrice which shows and very humoristic, that aside. M. a chef ( even has a Guinness world record) unfortunately the restaurant was not open this sunday evening. But they both recommended a restaurant nearby, le Clemenceau. It was a treat, an honest french brasserie. M. prepared a nice breakfast . To bad they have to fight the newer competition. I would say when in la Roche sur Yon , stay in the Mary Stuart. Talk to the owners and enjoy!Next time visiting the south, we will gladly make a detour to stay here again.”

“Het hotel heeft een mooi aanzicht. Het personeel is vriendelijk. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt. Het diner was goed. Het matras van het bed was slecht. Voor mij was het moeilijk om te douchen. De douche was in het bad en er was geen beugel of zo aanwezig waar je op kon steunen. Het hotel ligt vlak bij het station. Je kon het raam snachts wel open laten maar er was veel lawaai van het verkeer.”
