“First room was a great room with views on the temple and old city. It even had a balconny. Loved the automated toilet. It's supposed to heat, but we didn't feel that. Thank god, cause it's hot enough here, so who needs heating? Location is great, in the middle of old town Datong. We loved the restaurant "Latina"! Maybe a bit pricy for China, but the food was excellent and well worth it. Breakfast buffet was also very good, loads of choices. Be aware they also host weddings. If you're in the hotel during the day, you can fully enjoy it, as it is loud and in the hotel center. I don't know if it causes any noise at night, as we experienced this on our check-out day.”

“Great staff. Great location. Next to a great restaurant where we had dinner 3 nights in a row. Room is spacious, clean. Great breakfast selection. On the day of our departure, we left at 6:15am before breakfast was offered so they packed 2 breakfast to go for us. Great customer service, very good wifi. Will definitely recommend it to friends traveling to Datong in the future.”

“It is a great hotel in the middle of the 'old' city of Datong, you can easily walk to the city walls, the monastery, the nine dragon wall and the Prince's palace (which is still being rebuilt). The staff is very helpfull and friendly, good English knowlesge. The tourdesk arranged a tour for us to the Yungang grottoes and the hanging monastery with an English spekking driver. It was really great and beautiful sites to see. Both dinner and breakfast is good. With breakfast, there is a wide range of Chinese and Western products. Last but not least, we had the best WiFi in Datong of the whole of our China tour.”
