“After a long and somewhat arduous journey from Lake Myvatn, we were so pleased with the beautiful and calm atmosphere of this hotel. And when we got to our room and saw the view of the lake, we were blown away. The sun was setting, and it was just perfect. The heated bathroom floor was a bonus, which we only expected at pricier hotels. Dinner was an A+ and breakfast great too. We had questions about the drive to Hofn and the concierge was extremely helpful in guiding us to the best roads. We also liked the lodge atmosphere at the bar lobby area.”
“Staff interrupted our dinner to tell us the Northern Lights were displaying. We immediately left our table (without paying and with no problems) and viewed the lights from the hotel property. This was the highlight of our 7 day trip in Iceland. Can’t thank the staff enough. Also viewed and photoed northern lights from our hotel room window later that night. Easy to locate hotel. Food is good. Drive from the east coast was stunning.”

“A wonderful place to stay on the lake, they do advertise a spa which is really a very nice hot tub with a cold submersion bath and a sauna which were well done but not private. Restaurant prices were a bit steep for us. The breakfast was well done”
