“An easy destination by train and bus from Melbourne using the convenient prepaid transit card. The bus stops half a block from the hotel. Loved the period design of the veranda and dining room. The meals in the dining room are delicious and the pub fare is good too. The staff was attentive, knew the area well and went out of their way to tell us about bus and taxi service as well as local wines and ciders. The breakfast and lunch Café adjacent to the hotel serves excellent coffee, baked goods and full breakfasts indoors and on its terrace. This an excellent starting point to visit the Healesville Sanctuary.”
