“What a wonderful little find this place is.....warm, welcoming staff, fabulous home-cooked food and beautiful country surroundings, right in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors. Spent two nights here for my birthday weekend and absolutely loved it. The staff cannot do enough to help and the food is some of the best I have had for as long as I care to remember. Can certainly recommend either the Barnsley Lamb Chop or the Belly Pork and the cheeseboard is to die for!! Breakfast is superb with the eggs coming courtesy of the Horseshoe chickens! Although our room was small, it was cosy, well looked after and clean. My only gripe is I wish I lived nearer so I could eat here more often.”

“This is a little gem. Great location. So friendly everyone we met made us so welcome. Definitely recommend it. Ideal for walkers and there is a nearby train station a couple we met were going back home on the train. Food is excellent Barnsley chop my favourite.”
