“The 11th and 16th century building is beautiful to spend a few nights in. Spacious and luxurious. Excellent family owned hotel who attend to all your needs.”

, United Kingdom

“The rooms are beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good choice of food from a well presented buffet. The owner also offered a hot breakfast.”

, United Kingdom

“Beautifully restored fifteenth century building with modern conveniences. Lovely family-run establishment. Good base location from which to visit the Rioja region. Quiet little town, so expect to spend more time out of town than in town. The proprietors are terrific. This is a wonderful stay for a couple.”

“An impressive old building with very big bedroom/bed/bathroom. Parking conveniently onsite and secure. Beautiful views from windows across the Riojan countryside. A friendly welcome from Daniel.”

“We stayed overnight on our journey south from the ferry and what a fantastic hotel, it was easy to locate from motorway. The building which was an old palace was beautifully restored and furnished, and everywhere was immaculately clean, our bedroom which overlooked the small village was spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The hotel also has the bonus of gated free parking. The hotel is family run and we found our hosts to be so friendly and helpful, We had Dinner in the restaurant which was Superb and reasonable priced, and the choice offered at breakfast was excellent, including choices of hot breakfast and a buffet which included delicious home made cakes. We could not fault this hotel in any way and would definitely like to return again in the future.”

“Small privately owned ex 16c palace. Beautiful off the beaten track place. Very friendly and helpful owners. Large comfortable room plus other places to sit. Lots to see in the area so glad we stayed 3 nights.”

“Amazing breakfast. Cooked eggs with bacon or omeletter.Huge selection of breads, pastries, homemade cakes, yoghurt, fruit, juice,,coffee, tea etc The restaurant is lovely and the food excellent. Unfortunately we were there one of the two nights of the year it is closed. We did enjoy lunch and dessert one night. Be a nice place if really hot as nice outdoor seating and grounds. The decor is very in keeping with a very old palace. The rooms, beautifully presented. This is an excellent location for exploring La Rioja if you have a car.The Wine Museum was not far and the towns of Haro where there are many caves .As well as many little interesting villages including La Guardia which our host recommended and was worth a visit. The staff were friendly and helpful.”
