“This hotel was in a perfect location but that would be the case with most hotels in Wengen proper as it's pretty small. We arrived 28 Oct and departed 01 Nov. For us what made the Hotel Baren perfection was the view (we booked a balcony room) and the people -- the employees, especially the receptionist during the day on Thursday and Friday, and the server at breakfast Friday, Saturday & Sunday, were so very nice and helpful. The room was simple but very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bed was good and the wifi was fast and reliable except for a few hours on Saturday morning. The breakfast was good quality (the crispy bacon very welcome after a few weeks in Europe) -- the selection wasn't huge but offered plenty of variety for a few days. We had the veal and lamb for dinner in the hotel one night and it was exceptional.”

“It's 5 minutes walked from the train station and the hospitality and services we got from the owner and staffs make our stay very enjoyable, the room with the view just like heaven on earth, the foods, breakfast, were delicious, I would highly recommend for anyone who visit Wengen, to stay at this place, we also love the four course meals and I highly recommend it's worth the prices since it required 24 hrs ahead my advices just book it as soon as you book the reservation for the hotel, we missed out the first night, however we booked the remain three nights we stay and was very please with the meals.”
“This hotel was a warm, cozy home in an incredible alpine setting. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the staff incredibly kind and welcoming. The staff made a special effort to recognize our wedding anniversary on both nights we dined in the restaurant.”
