“The hotel had a great Bavarian feel including the staff's attire. The entire staff was very accommodating. With the windows open in the room we could hear the pleasant sound of the stream running along the back of the property. The area was very quiet and a short walk into town where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Garmisch itself shuts down pretty early. Its definitely not a late night town. We really enjoyed our stay.”

“Friendly staff. Large room, upper level, beamed sloped ceilings with a couch and 2 chairs, desk. Nicely decorated, clean. Small fridge. Small balcony with 2 chairs. Lots of drawers & wardrobes for clothing. We had pre-arranged a spot in the underground parking. Bathroom was large and bright (skylight), lots of space for toiletries. Had make-up mirror, hairdryer. No elevator - but stairs were no problem. Small bar/room near the reception. If not staffed, you could get drinks on a honor system. The outside terrace and backyard were gorgeous. Well maintained and the grounds were manicured. Small water feature, pond. Delight to sit on the terrace. Staff super helpful with suggestions on where to have dinner, what to see, etc. Both recommended restaurants were fantastic! Breakfast was served starting at 7:00 - great selection and cozy breakfast room. Comfortable bed and duvets.”

“The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful, with beautiful gardens with the river flowing past them and Zugpitze towering over all. The hotel is full of Bavarian charm, from the frescoes on walls and ceilings to the antique upholstered chairs and settee in the bedroom. With our window open we enjoyed the sound of the river during the night. The breakfast was lovely with great attention paid to detail, including a candle lit on the table when you sit down. Thank you for the best stay we've had in our 4 weeks in Central Europe! We hope to return sometime.”
