“We stayed here for 2 nights after our Everest base camp trek. It was a little tricky to find at first but that wasnt a problem as its down a nice quiet street away from all the noise. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. our room was lovely and very big, the beds were so comfy and the bathroom was large with 24/7 hot water which is very much welcomed after trekking for so long. Aircon always worked and tv with lots of channels. The breakfast was fantastic and it was the first time in 2 weeks that i had been full. Thank you so much hotel mums home. i would absolutley stay here again if i ever come back to Nepal. The price is incredible for the service you recieve.”
“Super friendly staff, the buffet breakfast is fantastic and they were happy to accommodate vegan and garlic free dietary requests, the rooms were large and we were kindly upgraded on checkout, room was on a quiet lane way, located within 5-10mins walk from everything you need in Thamal without the hustle and bustle”
“I had an amazing stay at Hotel Mums home after my Everest Base camp trek.We stayed for 2 nights.The staff are incredible and nothing is to much trouble.The rooms are big and spacious,bathroom has hot water 24 hours a day which is a thumbs up after trekking for so long and good for Nepal as we stayed at other places that had no hot water.The beds are super comfy and the breakfast was perfect.Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.Would definitely return”
“Greated with a juice on arrival and friendly staff who also assisted us with finding ATM's that worked (walked with us into Thamel proper to find one). Staff assisted with coach bookings and tours. Breakfast was cooked freshly for all who wanted it, bottled water was replaced daily in our rooms and rooms were cleaned daily. Over all very well run and presented hotel and not far from tourist spots and shopping,”

“I’ve been coming to Nepal for years and have always struggled to find a hotel I really like in Kathmandu. But this year I discovered Mums Home and couldn’t be happier. The staff was incredible, attentive to my every need. Every day, when I returned from sightseeing or visiting friends, they prepared free tea or coffee for me. My room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and upscale linens. In fact, they have the best towels - thick and fluffy and huge - a real treat in Nepal. They even helped me arrange a special event for a friend who was celebrating her 50th birthday. I’ll definitely be back to Mums.”
