“The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. The owner and her son were lovely people. Even though we don't speak Spanish, we didn't have any problem communicating with them; they are very good at communicating using simple words and gestures, and the owner's son, Luis, used Google Translate on his cell phone which was really helpful and thoughtful. When we were checking out, he even showed us a lovely message wishing a happy new year for us! The owner made tasty Colombian breakfast for us and introduced us a nice guide to the paramo at a reasonable price. She also made some snack for us to eat during the hike for a small price. Best location for hiking the paramo - You have to climb many stairs from the main square to reach the hotel, but the view is nice and you have to climb the stairs to go to the paramo anyways. Overall a great experience!”
“Staying there is like living with this quirky family. Be aware that you might share your breakfast table with them. The owners are super friendly, organise tours to the páramo and serve a good breakfast.”
“Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas am Hang, weshalb man eine wunderbare Sicht über das kleine Örtchen hat. Die Gastgeberin war äusserst freundlich und organisiert einen Guide für den Panoramaweg (nutzten wir nicht) und sogar eine Masseurin, die ins Hotel kommt. Die Warmwasserdusche war gold wert. Das Frühstück war das beste, was wir bis jetzt in Kolumbien hatten. Achtung: die Restaurants im Ort schliessen spätestens um 17.30 Uhr! Wir würden wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.”
