I asked the hotel to receive some tickets for me before my stay and they were very receptive and nice, really helpful. The breakfast is not very diverse, but it is very good. The room is not huge, but pretty big, the bed very comfortable.”
“All staff at the hotel, particularly on reception, were really friendly and helpful. There is an excellent Italian restaurant attached to the hotel, where again the staff were exceptionally friendly, and the food is great. My room was comfortable, with a nice view. All in all, a great stay.”
“Excellent value for money: friendly staff, parking right next to the hotel, an in-house restaurant with delicious Italian cuisine, the room was basic but very clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast, though not the huge buffet you can find in large(r) hotels, featured a nice variety of items (eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, croissants and sweet spreads, yoghurt), all fresh and delicious. Everything breathed dedication, no high-throughput industrial way of doing here!”

“The Hotel is 5min away from the Basel city center. The hotel itself is quite ok. Staff is very polite and helpful. Free train ride during the stay. No elevator. Free car parking. Quite strange to see the shower in the room directly, not in the bathroom. More or less, good hotel for one night stay during traveling.”
“Hotel Schlüssel is situated just outside Basel City - and you get a card for the tram - yes for all public transport in the Northwestern Switzerland in the receptipon. It takes 6-8 Minutes to the City Center. This card also gives better prices at some museums. There was a very warm welcome - and I had dinner in the restaurant both evenings with a lot of good food and excellent service.”
