Its perfect for the pilgrim who wants to explore the town of Lourdes, either on foot or using the local friendly and inexpensive bus transport. Overlooking Lourdes and nearby by bus, is the Pic de Jer mountain at 1000 metres. Its summit is accessible by the funicular railway and the view of Lourdes from this height is truly spectacular. Worth a visit if time allows.”
