“Right in the heart of old Cahors - the market square - and it's a hotel with heart. Lovely staff: brisk, efficient, and always helpful with a smile and (if your French is up to it ) a bit of banter. Crazy décor - pop art, graffiti - may not be everyone's taste but adds to the fun ambiance. And the bar, opening on to the square, is a local social hub ... all Cahors life passes by. Yet my eight-night stay was really peaceful. OK the Saturday was party night in the bar with a DJ (but they warned us, and it stopped at 1am. as promised ...), and one night I was woken by a guy yelling in the street. But in general it was amazingly quiet. Room was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast, although not gourmet, offers cheese, meat, yoghourt etc as well as croissants - great value for 8 euros. Overall, a charming experience for a bargain price.”
“The small hotel is very well located in the centre of Cahors. It doesn't have parking, however there are places on the street and in a nearby parking area, pay during the day. The staff are very pleasant, but speak no English. There's a nice little bar at the front. Our room was comfortable.”
“Our room was practical and standard commercial hotel- ish! Also very small. ”
“Excellent city centre location, friendly helpful staff. Good prices”
“Centrally located. Easy to find. Clean and friendly staff”
“THe hotel was centrally placed in Cahors next to the market, with its own restaurant and bar. The room was modern and comfortable. Each room is a different colour - we had the grey room which was very soothing. I am glad we didn't have the orange room which was a bit loud! We ate in their restaurant and had a good plat du jour lunch.”
“Our stay was good apart from the following. Out of the four day stay the breakfast was ok on one day, poor on one day and very poor on two days. Tables not cleared, no bread on one day, one croissant on one day, no knives or spoons on one day. I had to go down to the bar to ask for cutlery for the people having breakfast on the first day. On our last day the breakfast room was in darkness 7-05am, no coffee machine on, no bread/croissants etc. The lady was instead putting chairs out in front of the bar rather than cater for the guests. Finally went to pay for the stay and the card machine I as informed was not working, so I had to go to a bank to draw extra cash out. The card and the other machines we used on our holiday did not have any problem.”
“I travelled with a handicapped person and the accomodation did not fit her needs”
“Really appreciated being moved to much nicer room when we complained about smell of smoking. The lady who organised it was very helpful.”
“Quiet. Good bed. OK breakfast.Great location for our needs.”
