“A unique, stylish, comfortable hotel with lovely 'human' staff. A place run by with care and personality; the staff were relaxed but helpful. Aix is a beautiful, classical place with great architecture, however, the hotels being old and 'charming', can be either small and badly insulated or big and bustling 'business/travel tour' hotels. The Hotel Gantes was perfect: quiet, warm in all senses and a very pleasant stay. It's not cheap but I've stayed in some which were only a little less pricey and slept badly and felt ripped off so...”
