“The staff are super at this small hotel. I received a warm welcome and help finding a secure location for my motorbike. As they do not have a restaurant I asked for a recommendation. This turned out to be an excellent choice, the restaurant was called Larralde. The staff even made a booking for me, they were very helpful. The area is very pretty and this turned out to be an excellent base. I will certainly stay there again if I return to this area.”

The garden lounge was an absolute delight and there was a nice bar with tapas available and lovely music. The hotel was Right in the middle of this picturesque village with wonderful restaurants very close by. Definitely one of the nicer hotels we have discovered in France.”
“Great breakfast--wide variety of choices, all of them local from the cheese and bacon all of them Basque. Very friendly staff who asked if we slept well every night, very personalized attention. Clean towels, clean bathroom and bedroom. Great view of the center square from the double pane windows. The bed was comfortable and wide. Our room had an adjoining smaller room with a single bed. Great water pressure in the shower and toilet and great "green" alternatives in the shower, meaning they have a shower and shampoo dispenser instead of plastic bottles. Very green conscious. Bread shop, meat shop, pharmacie, and restaurants all within walking distance, including a charming walk to green areas and a roman bridge. Very relaxing and quiet. We didn't make it to the famed train ride but the long relaxing walk about town was just enough.”
