“Our hosts Chloe and Mathieu just took over Le Centenaire in July 2017. It is the sweetest hotel full of love and joy. We ate at the hotel restaurant all three of our nights. Every night we were treated to Mathieu’s delicious preparations. There are tasting menus and ala carte chcices. The wine list offers great variety and value. It is fine dining at very good prices. The presentions are beautiful. Most of all we felt we had made new friends and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is beautiful and Chloe and Mathieu have even more plans to improve it to its potential.”
“Great hotel with new owners. Fantastic food cooked by the chef - he was also co-owner. Quiet pool ideal for relaxing - no negatives.”
“Our favorite hotel in France. Loved everthing! The owners and staff were attentive and pleasant. We will be back!! ”
“Loved the town. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were well done, easy to use. If we stayed again, we would ask for a room with a balcony so we could sit outside (see below) and sip our wine. We found Les Eyzies an easy base for exploring much of the Dordogne.”
“Great location on the edge of a lovely village right in the middle of the prehistoric sites, the rivers for canoeing and lots of wonderful villages and towns to visit. The hotel is extremely well kept, lovely facilities, great pool surrounded by gardens and views. Even though we were there for sightseeing, we did spend a few hours by the pool with a cool drink from the bar. The restaurant area, outside terraces, room and bathroom all top class. We had brekfast in the hotel one or two mornings but opted to head out into the village for our croissants and coffee, more to experience French village life than anything else. We ate out in the local restaurants for variety. Delighted to recommend this hotel. We would go back in a flash!”
“Lovell friendly, beautiful rooms, nice pool area and gardens.”
“Position of the hotel excellent- on the edge of the small town. Breakfast good and staff very helpful. Lovely areas to sit and a very relaxing pool area. would go back.”
“Very well located in the centre of Les Eyzies (also very close to the entry of "Fond de Gaume"). People are very friendly. Nice swimming pool area”
“Lovely family hotel, friendly, courteous, staff. We had a lovely spacious air-conditioned room to relax in after a day of sightseeing. There was also a pool. We stayed 3 days and it was a shame we couldn't stay longer.”
“Nice pool. Good location to see neighbouring sites. Very nice restaurant which we ate at on one occasion - but probably too nice for an energetic 3 year old so ate at the conveniently located pizzeria across the road.”
