“The hotel is situated high in the upper town, and consequently has stunning views, particularly from the dining room. We had a warm welcome from mine host who spoke very good English. Our room was small with a high, small window- shower etc fitted into one corner. A little cramped for two mature adults with laptops! Restaurant belongs to slow food movement. and dinner was well-presented regional dishes. Breakfast excellent - wonderful Bircher Muesli. Excellent wifi.”

“Engelbert is a charming host. He is trained at the Cordon Bleu, has a certificate as a Fromageur, and makes his own wines on site. The result is an exceptional restaurant experience. Prices for the food are high, but this is more than made up for by the quality of the food and great value for the rooms (which are modest, but fine). Views from the restaurant are stellar.”
