“We arrived late and being in our room at sun down, looking out over the square and the Bishops Palace to a distant storm was one of the most memorable hotel stays I have ever had in Europe. But there is a story to it. Not every room on there hotel floors faces the square. (there is a good restaurant on the ground floor) They originally assigned us a rear room that was most disappointing. After noticing my Bookings print out listed the room was to have a minibar, I gently pointed this out to the night staff. She spoke no english and spoke in Czech what I assume was "only our better rooms have minibars" With a little more gentle effort, she called the manager and we were moved to the front, to a large outstanding room with a very romantic view and atmospheric lighting. The staff was kind and parking is right in front of the hotel, if you come early or late, mid day might be full. Very good breakfast. My advice, if there is an offer to pay more to assure a square view, pay it.”

The best surprise was dinner, I selected an item (lamb with vegetables) from the list of Czech specialities, and it was realy, realy good, delicious. Young lady who served dinner on the evening of March 7 was very kind and effective.”
