“This is a fabulous and quite remote location effectively at the westernmost spot in mainland Europe. Oodles of history and a stunning and large church on the cliff top. Unfortunately the hotel did not live up to its billing. Tiniest of rooms. Almost had to climb over the bed to get from the loo,one side of the room, to the sink on the other. Advertised internet throughout. Not in our room, except intermittently. Kettle with just two teabags and no milk of any kind. No decaf coffee at breakfast. I think the problem is this hotel and the adjacent upmarket one with a gourmet and excellent restaurant and the next door bistro are all under the same ownership. No competition. We were booked in for two nights but pulled late afternoon on the second day having already paid the two night bill and found somewhere more friendly and comfortable.”
