“My room literally looked like the picture from the website! It was located in a an rural setting set off of the main road. Because I wanted a 'small and homey' type of stay, this place fit perfectly! The staff was friendly and great. The room was perfect and rustic with a nice balconey. I liked that it was also near the valley of the queens and they had transportation for me. I liked the local comfort and that the owner/family stayed right on the premise.”

“Amazing food, fantastic location, helpful staff (not 'pushy'). One in a million atmosphere!”

, United Kingdom

“This place is really relaxing and laid back. We were well located to visit all the west bank attractions. All the people were committed for us to have a really good time and were very flexible.”

, Egypt

“A haven of peace and tranquility after the madness of the East Bank. The owner and staff are very hospitable and the place is nestled in a palm grove across from the antiquities ticket office. A bonus for me was the chance to interact with the friendly local and their kids. The food was great and reasonably priced.”

, Australia

“traditional honest friendly relaxing wonderful food people best stay in egypt”

, Norway

“I liked that it is a family business and that the family lives besides the hotel, the kids playing outdoors and some animals mooing in their shelters. It gives you more of a village feeling than that of a detached hotel. And it is right besides green fields and the ticket office on the West bank, and thus quiet and strategically perfectly situated. What is also nice is that the room had a small shady balcony; in summer this will be very nice I think.”

, Sri Lanka

“The location is excellent. You wake up, have breakfast and can look across the road to some of the tombs of the New Kingdom nobles. It is a short (less than a mile and a half) walk to places like the temple at Medinet Habu, Valley of the Queens, Deir el Medina. If you stay for just about any length of time you will be treated like family.”

, USA

“The location nearby the archaeological sites. The hotel's architecture. Nice breakfast. The people were generally nice except the owner with whom I was discussing the exchange rates.”

, Egypt

“Not for every type of traveler, but we loved the authentic Egyptian experience!”
