“The staff were excellent and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast excellent, cooked perfectly and satisfyingly varied. Nice bar, good restaurant. We managed to park close to the hotel and there are overspill car parking spaces. The hotel is in a lovely building and spacious. Kierran at reception was quick to sort out some minor problems with our room and also moved us to a room with a bath once we mentioned we would have preferred this. For the price, it is great value for money. Lovely bath with overhead shower and hand shower ideal for washing hair or rinsing down after a bath. Good quality tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Some of the televisions, which had a good selection of channels, also have DVD slots (ours did!). A lot to like about Oakwood House Hotel and we will stay again next year.”

“Bed to big not a lot gf room between bed and rad under window I am 76 and struggle with getting around but it was only for one night we had a bad water leak through the ceiling but it was in the morning and the staffwas very good”
