“This location is very remote but very special: close to a national park: excellent view from the rooms and the restaurant. Small but nice swimming pool (frequently empty during the afternoon). No choise in the menu at the restaurant, but the menu is very creative with regional flavours and changes daily. Sober but tastefull breakfast (changes with the day). You need a car, even to get to starting points for hikes. Nice spot for a lazy break between busy city trips.”

“Amazing stay at Posada Real Quinta de la Concepción!!!We reached the location after five hours of travel by car and we were head over heals with this quinta and the hosts. It is beautifully decorated with all kinds of antique stuff soecific to the area. The big windows are overlooking the surrounding mountains and Duoro river. Their yard has all kinds of fruit trees. (We got to see kiwi trees for the first time :)). The outside swimming pool and whirlpool were such a treat!!! Rooms are spacious and very clean. Host are so fine, honest and welcoming. I highly recommend this quinta if you ever are around this area.”
“Superb location although quite off the beaten track (there are signs on leaving Hinojosa - it's a further 10 kms). Comfortable clean room with terrace overlooking the river. Kindly couple running the place, delicious home cooked meals and no problem at all with vegetarian options. Highly recommended.”
