“The staff were especially welcoming and pleasant throughout, making check in/out and dining a good experience. Our dinner guests were made particularly welcome. We enjoyed a walk on the nature trail after breakfast. Considering there was a large function taking place during the whole of our stay, we were never inconvenienced by or heard any noise from the wedding party. This was our 2nd visit to Stirk House and we will be happy to stay again in the future. Finally an unexpected email from the hotel thanking us for our visit - our first from countless hotels world-wide we have stayed in over many years of travel.”

“Fantastic onion rings in the restaurant, you could play frisbee with them, never seen anything like it. Really good menu. Nice character property in a quiet location. Decor was a pleasant mix of modern pastels and period features such as stone mullion windows and a 12th century fire place. The bar has a good selection of whiskeys.”
