“We were attending a wedding and the hotel block was at the DuPont Circle Hotel. We decided to upgrade to a Deluxe Grand Double rather than stay in the wedding block. Our room was on a corner with windows that looked out over DuPont Circle with the Washington Monument in the distance. A gorgeous sight at any time of day! We enjoyed the extra size and amenities of our room. The room was beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed just relaxing in it whenever we could. The hotel was close to a metro, cabs were always available outside the door, and there were restaurants/area attractions close by the hotel. To get to the mall and museums, I think you would take the metro--then the DC Circulator to get around. You could not walk to these sites. We greatly enjoyed The Phillips Art Gallery and their Renoir Exhibit. Oh yes, they have coffee, tea, and newspapers available in the lobby each morning. This is a beautiful hotel that takes pride in good service.”
“The staff was great. Food delicious, esp. Breakfast with scrambled eggs, high quality bacon and sausage, quality orange juice and coffee. Unusual cocktails and very high quality charcuterie plate with generous gourmet assortment of prosciutto, homemade beef thin sliced sausage, grapes, olives, etc. Room with king size mattress, beautiful sheets, brown velvet comforter, terry cloth robes with terry cloth slippers, Nespresso espresso machine, slate-floored walk in shower,etc. Doormen professional and accommodating, concierge helpful, registration desk staff friendly and also professional. I highly recommend this hotel!”
