They have cathedrals and a major university, but we know what you really want to hear. Yes, Aberdeenshire is home to more than half of Scotland's whisky distilleries. Whether it was those spirits or not, something had to inspire great Grampian authors and artists, including Annie Lennox, Lord Byron and Bram Stoker.
