More than two decades after the fall of the wall that once culturally and politically divided Berlin east from west, this vibrant, reunited city is once again the German capital and a major center of cutting-edge art and culture. Today’s Berlin strongly exists in the present, looking toward the future -- from the non-mainstream bars and techno clubbing nightlife of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain to the reconstructed glass-domed Reichstag (German parliament).
