Jefferson Blythe II, was killed in a car accident just 3 months before the boy's birth. His mom moved to New Orleans to study nursing, leaving young William with his loving grandparents. She later married an auto salesman named Roger Clinton and the family moved to Hot Springs.) Political ambition must run in the water, as Ross Perot's hometown of Texarkana is just a few miles down I-30. President Clinton may remember his hometown better than they remember Little Bubba, if only because they've been too busy working in local industries -- building world-renowned loudspeakers at Klipsch, Inc., driving flatbed trucks for Fike's, or manufacturing steel girders and beams at SMI Joist. Then again, 9,768 residents aren't so hard at work that they can't have a little fun. The Hope High School Superband is billed as the most entertaining wind ensemble in all Arkansas. Come to think of it, a certain White House resident plays the sax as well.
