“I was positively surprised. First of all, it's exactly in front of the station, not even 50 metres away. The hotel including the room was luxury-looking. The room was western style fully equipped and i was in shock to see the size of my TV which was about 50 inches!!! When i checked out they accepted kindly to keep my luggage for few hours (no charge) and they also gave me information about bus timetable. Very helpful staff”

“Excellent variety at the breakfast buffet, caters for both western and Japanese. The calm and light breakfast room is on the top floor with tables positioned to look out over the city and surrounding area. This became a lasting memory of my time here. Tsuruoka was such a gentle little place wth dewa-San mountain shrines to visit Nearby and many quality restaurants, shops, parks and shrines in the town. The tourist info centre opposite the hotel also lends you bikes to ride around the town for free!”

“Breakfast was nice and the room was very clean and well equipped. Good location - pretty much opposite the train station - easy to reach from other cities and good for day trips, particularly if you want to go to Mt Haguro - the bus leaves next to the train station.”
