“Aité is a beautiful, peaceful resort a little way out of busy Palomino. The resort was having a "maintenance week" while we were there, so the only guests were ourselves and one other couple. We were also upgraded from a room with garden view to a bungalow on the beach to compensate for any inconvenience. The cabin was lovely, equipped with two large, mosquito-netted double beds, a minibar, coffee making facilities and shower with a view! The private balcony had two hammocks which we made much use of. All the staff were lovely and determined that we should have a good time. The sea was very rough during our stay so we made good use of the pool. It's a 20-25 minute walk along the beach to the busy main drag of Palomino where all the backpackers hang out. There are many restaurants and bars there, but Aité's own restaurant is actually similarly priced, clean and much more peaceful.”
