“First of all, the owner gave us a fantastic room with terrace with an incredible view of Monte Rosa and the village, with an extra room with 2 twin beds. We definitely enjoyed the upgrade! Plus, at breakfast the following morning, after hearing that we were going to have a full day hiking to another valley, he prepared two sandwiches for us. We liked this place so much that, two days later, on our way back from our hike, we decided to stay there again (and got upgraded again to the same room).”

“The cleaning agent used to mop the floors had a strong and overpowering odor. Enough so, that I had to step outside to resist retching. People inside the facility seemed immune to the scent, having grown 'used' to it. I would have canceled our reservations and gone elsewhere would it not have incurred a stiff cancellation penalty. As it was we opened all windows in our room even though it was cold and rainy, and that minimized the smell. We avoided eating in the hotel restaurant because of this smell. The staff- was very nice, and hospitable, particularly the man and woman who seemed to be running the place. Unfortunately our Italian and their English was limited and made it difficult to convey our dislike of the odor inside.”
