“Good location and nice room!”
“We (two families : 4 adults and 2 kids) stayed in this apartment on 19th and 20th March 2016. The apartment (Room # 4) we stayed in had two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, an ante-room and two bath rooms. The sofa in the living room could be made into a double bed, and kids loved to occupy that and watched TV. Kitchen had all utensils, which we didn't use though. The apartment was very clean- no complaints. The WiFi connection was good and didn't encounter any problems. There were three balconies to our apartment, two for the bed rooms and one for the living room. Had good view of the mountains from the bed-room balconies. The stairs to upper floors were very narrow, but the rooms were very spacious. The staff were friendly and very polite. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel and with the guest card issued by the hotel, we could go to Hallstatt and Dachstein by bus, free of cost. There are buses going to Bad Ischl, Gosau, Gosausee, Hallstatt and Dachstein***One needs to plan their day according to the bus timings though as the frequency is low - ~7 trips to Hallstatt per day during weekends.*** All-in-all, the stay at the hotel was nice and the trip was wonderful. We would definitely stay at the same place again should we visit Hallstatt again.”

“It was an easy walk down to the lakeside where there was a large grassy area with playground equipment, skateboarding area, volleyball, fishing, sailing, etc. The asphalt walkway could also be taken to walk near pastures and through woods to the next little town. The location would be ideal for an extended vacation with outdoor activities. A short drive through the tunnel takes you to the town of Hallstatt with its medieval buildings and town center. Lots of shops and fine dining.”

“The junior suite offered a balcony with a view of the lake. Room is spacious and has a good size fridge. Hotel offers bike rental which made it easy for us to explore Obertruan. There is a ferry point to take us across to Hallstatt within 2 mins walk (but the frequency is not great). There is a restaurant right next to the hotel and offered great food.”
“Very cozy bed and breakfast type hotel. Quite near to the bus stop (Obertraun Feriendorf, just around the corner), Obertraun rail station (5 mins walking) and Lake shore. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and decent room. Very good value for money. Will stay again if we come to visit Hallstatt or surrounding areas.”
