“This auberge is located in the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful setting in the Gorge. We slept in the cave room, which was "gorgeous", if a little less ventilated. The restaurant serves wine. There are several walks available from the auberge into the mountains.”
“This was a lovely property in the heart of the Todra Gorge. It was so pretty at sunset and sunrise. Being well into the gorge, it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff were all friendly and great, as was the resident cat! Dinner was enjoyable (one of the better Tagine I had in Morocco) and breakfast was one of the better ones we encountered in Morocco. The cave rooms are great, although not a new experience for us, much to the surprise of the staff. The room was spacious and well appointed. Drive a good 6kms or so into the gorge (twice we turned around). Check with the property before you start out. The entrance was described to us as a bridge, but it is really just a rough entrance.”
“Location is amazing and unique, rooms better than look in photos, staff very friendly and keen to add to experience.”
“The auberge was in the middle of nowhere at the end of the todra gorges. This accomondation was a castle in the mountains with friendly staf. We stayed in a cave. This was a very good experience and totaly different than other stops. The view was very nice, diner was good and after diner the staff played local music for us. Very nice experience.”
“Stunning location, beautiful hotel and delicious supper and breakfast. This could not have been a better stay.”
“A place full of beauty! Beautiful cave room, beautiful on the outside, beautiful view! Best coffee in Morocco, perfect dinner!! Good access to Todra Gorge and Tineghir!”
“The location is perfect, just 5km upstream from the narrowest part of the gorge. The staff were incredibly welcoming and seemed to enjoy working as a team in this relatively isolated hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent.”
“The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed in the cave room, very novel. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.”
“The location, at a bend in the canyon located a few km beyond the busy main gorge, is spectacular. We enjoyed an overnight in a cave room, a dinner, a hike, a breakfast, and a little sitting around enjoying the scenery. As usual, the Berber hospitality was excellent, and all of the staff seemed genuinely interested in us enjoying our stay.”
“The location is stunning. The place is built nicely in the local materials. so it blends in the environment. Food was very good. They serve wine (hooray), no beer. The breakfast was excellent, the best in our trip. The manager did everything he could, to make you feel comfortable. His english was good, the rest of the staff not so. We regret we did not go on one of the selfguided walks that the hotel has set out in front of the hotel. (it was super hot when we were there, we went to the Palm gardens so we could walk in some shade.) On the other hand, it doesnt get really better than were the accommodation is! There is a smal plunge pool and there are sunbeds with great views and even sunhats for shade. It would be nice if there was some shades above the sunbeds, as it was to hot to sit there (beginning of septeber).”
