“Good location between between airport & blue lagoon. The room very big & cozy. Really value for money”
“Very nice staff, met fantastic people from all around the world. Had amazing conversations with staff and guests. Definitely will go back and bring friends along. The city bus pass by hostel which is great to go grocery shopping, or just explore Keflavik for free.”
“Had all the facilities we needed for our short stay in Keflavik! Perfect-sized room, good privacy despite shared facilities, well-supplied shared kitchen, cool vibes in the public space, and is located within close proximity to supermarkets and petrol stations. Great value for the price.”
“Not expensive for Iceland! Other independent travellers were friendly and shared left over food etc!”
“The bed was really comfy with a big blanket, which was great on a cold Icelandic night after being out watching the Northern Lights.”
“I arrived late afternoon and the lady at the reception who greeted me was super nice! She quickly checked me in and helped set up airport transfer for the next early morning! Overall it's a very budget friendly property near the airport and their shuttle service is very frequent and cheap (around 4 EUR). The room that I stayed in was very clean and the bedding super comfy! The building does give the vibe of a huge dorm...but in the end, you are staying in former military base camp. Which is also quite cool!”
“It was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful”
“Great price (our cheapest accomodation in iceland), clean, close to the airport.”
“Very nice staff. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, with its bar, open 'living area' and game room. The room was nice and spatious, and had a fridge and a good tv. Perfect place for a last night before taking your flight home.”
“Base Hotel is located in Ásbrú, a former Naval sation. The staff was excelent and provided with a room upgrade which was very clean and comfy. If you have a car, you’ll have no problem. On the other hand, it’s an hour walk from the airport (totally do-able) and there’s also a bus (55) that takes you to Reykjavik in no time. Totally recommended”
