“In the middle of beautiful Tuscany the property was a wonderful relaxation haven. The entire staff was extremely helpful and helped us ship their wine to our home. As we traveled around the area, we loved having Castello Di Tornano as our home base.”
“We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Tuscany! Everything was amazing. The hotel was a well-preserved rustic medieval castle with perfectly clean and updated facilities. The staff was so helpful and kind, and the food was incredible. The location is central to all of the little Tuscany towns we wanted to go to and rooftop patio had stunning views. Their Chianti was also fantastic!”
“The setting and grounds are magnificent. The pool area and gardens offer amazing views in a tranquil setting. The staff are wonderful and super helpful and friendly.”
“The room was very comfortable and the views were fabulous. The restaurant serves some amazing local dishes, served, of course, with their own Chianti.”
“We had a 1 bed apartment, was comfortable and a nice size. The location was good for exploring Chianti by car. We went to the restaurant twice for dinner and the food was amazing!”
“Castello di Tornano is absolutely beautiful. Set in stunning scenery it is very peaceful. The main building is stunning with a formal dining room, four extravagant, decadent large seating / lounging rooms and the most amazing roof terrace on top of the tower ( that gives a fabulous panoramic view) - all available for the guests to use at any point. The pool is set in the old moat ( complete with bridge!) and is about 20-22metres long and is quite cold but lovely to swim in under the looming castello tower. The tennis court is a welcome addition to the facilities, but be aware that it is set about 15 mins walk downhill from the main buildings. It is the perfect location for getting around Chianti country visiting the historic towns of Radda in Chianti, Castellina In Chianti, Panzano and Greve In Chianti or a day trip to Siena. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating, to ensure our stay was perfect. The restaurant, though a bit pricey, was very good. ”
“Your staying in a restored castle, it's amazing. Restaurant serves an excellent dinner/lunch. The Florentine steak is amazing, if a bit expensive. Also, the receptionist, who also scheduled/facilitated our wine tasting, was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.”
“Beautiful setting, not too many guests. Nice to relax in late afternoon after a day of travels”
“Fantastic!!! If you want to stay in a real castle, with great staff and food. Go here! No doubt. No remarks whatsoever, swimming pool is made with the room they had, big enough and character. P.s. If you fancy something different for food then the castle, there is a reallly good restaurant, sitting outside, pretty romantic , filled with Italians. La piccarda. Worth a visit.”
“The location was lovely, with views across the hills, not another building in sight. The pool cool and beautifully set in the moat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very good, and eating outside under the sail under the tower was delightful.”
