“I stayed at this hotel on my way back from Kelso Races.The hotel is easy to find & is located on the main road on the edge of Coldstream. There is free parking next to hotel & if that is full there is plenty of on street parking. At the hotel I was met by a friendly member of staff. I was shown to my twin room which overlooked the main road. The room was of a good size but the 1960's décor reminded me of rooms I stayed in as a boy. The room was adequate for an overnight stop. The salmon pink coloured bathroom ( retro some may say) was in need of upgrading. The bar at the hotel was good & both the staff & locals made me feel welcome. After a good nights sleep there was a good hearty breakfast provided which was freshly cooked. This was a good ending to an enjoyable stay. Excellent value for money.”
“Very clean, comfortable bed,decent breakfast and pleasant staff. It's an old building so yes the floor might creak and the paintwork may be tired in parts but this certainly did not affect us in any way. Would stay again if in the area.”
