“We were in room 10b was very spacious and comfortable. It is not a cave room, but is very nice and has a good view. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Matera is easy to get to by train from Bari Centrale station. Just one and a half hours and 4.90 euros. Within 4.5hrs from leaving the UK you can be there. The atmosphere in this the town is lovely. It must be seen, both by day and in the evening when the tour groups have all gone. Lots of restaurants and bars. The local breads and orchetti pasta are delicious.”
