“the staff were really friendly and helpful. the property is beautiful and has a very interesting history. I asked to see the available suites and they took time to show them to me. I really hope to return soon.”
“Dinner (not cheap, but worth it) was a set menu, huge, and one of the best meals I have ever had. It's extremely peaceful on the grounds, but it's a 2 minute walk to the temple of the reclining Buddha, and the typical tourist draws are within walking distance.”
“What a sancturay amidst hustling and bustling Bangkok. The tranquility and privacy of this secluded place is unbelievable considering you are in the heart of Bangkok. Staff is unobtrusive, very attentive, helpful and caring. We would stay here every time in Bangkok. Many thanks for everything!”
“Incredible historic and romantic place. Staff is really lovely helpfull. Beautiful closed tropical garden, high night security. Great Breakfast.”
“Great service, very nice deco, breakfast is awesome.”
“Chakrabongse Villas is a gem in Bangkok. It is a boutique hotel steeped in culture and history. Owned and managed by the descendants of Prince Chula Chakrabongse (1908-1963), Chakrabongse Villas is comprised of just seven rooms, so be sure to book early! The view from the hotel restaurant where we had dinner was unforgettable: Wat Arun lit up at night on the opposite bank of Chao Phraya and colorful boats cruised by us as we ate (Chakrabongse Villas has its own boat for guest use before 5pm). The hotel has its own bookstore and publisher (River Books); do check it out too! We love everything about the hotel: its impeccable service (khum Ohm was so friendly and nice), great location (it was a short walk from Wat Pho and the Grand Palace), and the lavishly decorated gardens and pathways. I personally would check in here again the next time I visit Bangkok.”
“Unexpected paradise in the center of Bangkok. We did not understand in advance that the hotel only has 6 rooms all in all, so you really feel that you live in your own property (former king's family property by the way!) with noone around. We stayed in Tai villa that has a big veranda with sunbeds and there is a big pool in the hotel so you can relax after the extensive excursion day. Dinner in the hotel is highly recommended - great food and great view on the river!”
“Amazing location for the major Bangkok tourist locations, new great restaurants nearby and an amazing vista (royal) on the river front for breakfast or optional dinner (highly recommended). Staff excellent with non pushy advise for options for the day. Gardens are delightful and the pool is not crowded.”
“The hotel has a beautiful garden, swimming pool, river view restaurant and kind staffs.”
“loved the staff loved the look and feel of the place”
