“We arrived at midnight. The property was conveniently located but the name City hotel suggests a different type of hotel . The view over the old market was nice. The breakfast was good. The room contained a cooking possibility which makes it handy for people visiting the beach and staying longer. The staff were friendly and pleasant. It is a very nice location for younger people as the lift is a bit tricky. Things were very neat and clean. Vlissingen is a nice place for a holiday. The clock bells were wondeful. Behind the hotel is a square from 1600 and a church that is unspoilt. When the clock bells chimed 12 at midday I thought I was in a scene from Midnight in Paris. I sheltered from the sun beneath the trees. Also there are many nice places to buy food and eat. People talk to you and are kind and interested”
