“We stayed there for 5 nights. The facility was clean and comfortable. There was a lot of construction, but it never interfered with our stay in any way. They are upgrading bathrooms, etc. throughout. We used it as a home base while we toured birding sites in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. The best part was the staff who were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was substantive - always fresh scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, sausage, homefries, belgian waffles, yogurt, cereal, etc. We never felt that we needed to supplement with what they offered. When we return to the area, which we hope to do next year, we will stay there again.”
