“What a gorgeous house and grounds! Entering the car park area, you can see the rushing stream by the side of the property with fantastic trees, bushes, birds and red squirrels! Not a bad start! The house itself is a real tribute to Cherry and Gordon. The bar area is warm and cosy with a great choice of drinks on offer. The bedrooms are quaint and totally in character with the house but the real gem is the baronial dining room. Wow what a great place to eat! The room is immense and filled with lovely antique furniture. The food was really lovely with a good choice. You must try the 'Smokie in a Pokie' which is a great combination of salmon, smoked haddock wrapped in smoked salmon. The steak was really tasty albeit a little overcooked for our taste but good nonetheless. Breakfast the following morning was also top class and a great end to our Scottish tour.”
