“This is a beautiful hotel, from the entrance lobby to the small details in the room. We used the hotel as a short stop off on the way to Huangshan mountains. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helped us plan our route to the mountains via taxi and public transport. You can cross the bridge near the hotel and take a walk along the river to reach the town centre and Tunxi Old Street. You can take a short taxi ride to the bus station, where you can catch buses to the mountain area. The breakfast was nice, with a mixture of western and eastern options.”
“Maybe the most beautiful hotel lobby that I've ever seen. Rooms were lovely with comfortable beds. Biggest plus -- the hotel had a concierge named Island who spoke excellent English, a rarity in this part of China. She was very helpful in planning our trip to Yellow Mountain (Mount Huangshan). Not sure we would have been able to figure out the logistics without her since the mountain is not close (it's about an hour and a half away) and there were no tours that could take us there. The trip involved an hour by taxi, then a bus, and then a cable car. Not easy to do on your own without Chinese!”
