“Used this hotel to get ready for my wedding. Did our first look here, and spent the night here for two nights. The room was incredibly comfortable for its smaller size. Staff was incredibly helpful and polite, and the rest of the hotel was gorgeous in a chic, hip way. We had breakfast at the kitchen the next day, and the food was amazing. Great serving staff. A little pricey, but you definitely get what you're paying for. Would highly recommend!”
“Beautiful, spacious room with large windows and lots of light. The bed was extremely comfortable and had cozy, warm bedding. Outlets built into the side tables, desk, and dresser made it easy to keep my devices charged without having to search high and low for a plug. TVs equipped with Netflix and Hulu were a nice touch as well (though I did have to login to my own account). The fitness center was not huge, but I was thrilled that they had a Peloton bike that streams spin classes from my favorite instructors! The Apparatus Room restaurant and bar was beautifully appointed with almost magical lighting and comfortable seats. I ended up eating there every day of my stay and was never disappointed. The service was quick and the food was delicious.”

“From pulling up to valet to valet packing up my car, every person and experience I had was so far above the bar that I smiled ear to ear my entire stay. By far the best hotel experience including dinner, drinks and breakfast I have ever had on a business trip. My only reservation was that I possibly was not "cool" enough to be staying there!!!! Bravo to the Foundation. Bravo also to Detroit. The City is on fire!”

“I surprised my husband with an overnight stay at DFH. What an excellent example of an adaptive reuse of an old fire station. During our stay we had dinner at the Apparatus Room. The food was excellent and only topped by the service provided by the staff! Before we checked out the next day, we had an opportunity to ride the new Qline and rent MOGO bikes. ”
