“Excellent room and bed”
“The staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived early but our luggage was kept for us whilst we explored the area and went for lunch. The staff knew the area and we're able to advise about local activities. We were given each a warm cookie when we returned. It was delicious and a nice touch. The room was modern and the size of the bed was extra King size. We had a view of the castle. The room can be very dark, and it took some time to figure out where the extra lights were....but it wasn't a great problem. We enjoyed breakfast but didn't use the restaurant at ĺunch time or the bar. There is a small gym which we didn't use, but next time we will do so. Yes! We will be returning. So glad to have found this lovely hotel. We've joined the hotel points scheme so will be able to book at a reduced price next time.”
“Location”
“Spacious rooms and spacious toilets. Good View of castle from the room”
“Average breakfast. Some items to order which were good such as pancakes”
“Really quiet in the rooms, location ideal between main rail stations, overall really good!”
“Warm welcome from reception staff, house keeping came to clean everyday over a 3 night stay which was appreciated. Nice cosy beds and great location for easy access to the castle and city centre. Breakfast buffet was also really good with lots of options. Would definitely recommend if planning a trip to Edinburgh”
“Staff always bring tea and coffee straight away and by the time you choose your breakfast the tea and coffee are cold. Plates were cold instead of warm . Staff helpful.”
“Bed was great the room was cosy and the breakfast and staff were first class”
“Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, especially Yaiza. Room good size and although on the first floor at the front of the hotel, was very quiet. Bed very comfortable. Only a 3 minute walk from Usher Hall with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.”
