“The building is more than 500 years old, but still lively and vivid. Staff were warm and really helpful in all respects. Breakfast was excellent. The sunset view at the restaurant on the terrace was terrific, and the food itself was of good quality. Room was traditional European-continental styled with comfortable bed and swallows. Services were just great, really appreciated. The antiques and frescos in the lounge were more than expected. Pity there is no gym or swimming pool or spa like its modern counterparts, but, who cares! Believe that most travellers stay at this hotel for everything else.”
