“The hotel is in a perfect location for travel to/from Scotland. It's situation in the Eden valley, while close to the M6, has nearby footpaths for walks along the river. It provides a good break on the journey.”
“It was quiet, scenic. Coming from city, manchester, selection was ideal. As was looking for quiet retreat to relax and chill out. Did this plenty. Lovely view of garden when eating in dining room. Never seen so much greenery. Staff were very attentive and very conversational with guests, which I thought was very welcoming. Price was reasonable for standard of cleanliness and facilities and duration. 3 nights. Plenty of walks to go on. Good location for hitchikers.”
