“We found this to be a really very pleasant and comfortable city hotel. Although the outside of the building looks a little daunting.. old Edinburgh stonework.. the interior was clean and tidy and very up together. Our double room was more like a junior suite, with a separate seating area with an additional television. The hotel provided all the usual products as well as tea, coffee and kettle. We were pleased with the location, near the Grassmarket area and within easy walking distances of the locations we wished to visit. I would both recommend and return.”
“The staff were very friendly and helpful for all our needs. In particular, they helped us book a taxi very early in the morning and phoned us when it arrived. The location of the hotel is also nice - everywhere is within walking distance. The breakfast was also good - there were not only set menus but also buffet tables for coffee/juices and fruits.”

“Hotel situated close to the center in a quiet location. Nice old building with history. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated but perhaps a bit small. Breakfast was good with selection of cold buffet, for a little extra you could add hot options too. Staff was helpful and friendly.”
