“We were in the room classed as a suite and had a balcony and fantastic view of the Venetian Harbour. I think probably the best hotel view in Rethymnon. Right in the centre of town and very close to all the bars and nightlife of Rethymnon. There is a small shared kitchen which is very useful for snacks and simple meals. there is only room for one at a time to use it and a bit of a queue. You also need to take whatever you make to your room as there is no area next to the kitchen to eat. The small fridge in the room was useful. They have just done a lot of structural work on the place and the owner says he plans to use the coming winter to redecorate to try and make it a more stylish place than it has been previously. We have stayed here before and would certainly do so again.”

“The location overlooking Venetian Harbour is fantastic. Superb views all day (and night) long. So much to look at. Also just beside an array of waterside restaurants specialising in glorious, fresh seafood, or the Old Town with its myriad lanes, bars, restaurants and a few wonderful museums and mosques. Also very good hotel owner who has provided extras like a well-stocked kitchen and a roof garden. He gave good tips for his favouriterestaurants.”

“Our group of six had an amazing stay at Faros Beach. The staff were very helpful and hospitable from beginning to end, giving us useful information about the area. The location in the old harbour was excellent as it allowed us to get around on foot, and also made booking trips and excursions to different parts of Crete very easy. Our rooms were comfortable and the facilities were great. We would definitely return in the future!”
